What to do when your cloud provider shuts down!

It is easy to overlook the possibility of a cloud provider shutting down, but it is not until you see one in process that you can appreciate how messy the whole thing can get. 

Also it is interesting to see how Amazon AWS deals with the non-payment of bills. It looks like Amazon will shut you down first and then give you a period of 36 hours or so to get your data out of AWS before it disappears for ever.....who knows....

Christmas 2015 Project - Rubicks Cube Solver

I purchased a Lego Mindstorm Ev3 home edition back in 2014 for the "kids". I would recommend them to anyone, grown ups included! They are great fun with loads of very nice projects published on the Internet from Lego and others.

This Christmas I was looking around for a nice project for my Ev3 kit when I came across the MindCuber community. https://www.facebook.com/lego.mindcuber and MindCub3r in particular. http://mindcuber.com/mindcub3r/mindcub3r.html.

I was really surprised at the quality of the documentation and the instructions. Hence 3 days later with about 6-8 hours of assembly(with the kids) we finally completed our EV3 Lego Mindstorm Rubicks Cube solver on Christmas night.
